You have a choice between two Driver Education programs:
30 hours of classroom instructions
8 hours of private behind-the-wheel training
The classroom and behind-the-wheel phases are offered in an integrated program for five weeks. Content includes rules of the road, physical and mental factors affecting the driver, concepts necessary for safe motoring, understanding of functioning of the motor vehicle, motor skills, visual skills, application of laws, driving emergencies, accurate judgments and timed correct responses. Classroom sessions meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for five weeks. A student is allowed to miss up to 4 classroom sessions, but make up classes are required.
At the end of the second week of classes our students are taken to the Secretary of State facility for their Instruction Permit test. Later, they are scheduled for behind-the-wheel driving and observation time. Basic Program includes four 3-hour blocks of behind-the-wheel training. Advanced Program will have four 1.5-hour sessions, and two 1-hour sessions of one-on-one private instruction. Driving lessons are available 6 days a week in our new training cars. We will schedule driving appointments at the student’s convenience.
After completing the Driver Education Course our students are presented an Illinois Driver Education Certificate issued by the Secretary of State.
